Will's Baptism

Will chose to be baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  We were so excited for him.  We were able to have his baptism on June 22, 2013, which is my dad's birthday (now that I think about it, I should have gotten a picture of them together.  Sigh.  Oh well.).  It was a great day, and we had a lot of family and friends come to celebrate with us.

Dale was able to baptize Willard.  He did a great job.  :)  Love these two.  As a random side note, it's always fun to look back years and years and years later at your own baptism picture, and see how young you looked, and how young your dad looked, lol.  :)  It'll be fun to do that in 10 years with this one (and the other 5 kids).

Our family all together.  We were all there, dressed and awake.  Yay!

Us with Willard.  We sure love him.

My older brother, Andrew, held Emma for me and Emma decided that she sure loved him.  So he held her for the entire baptism.  She usually doesn't take to other people so quickly, but she sure liked to snuggle up with her blankie and Uncle Andrew.

Joe, Will, and Katelyn are such good friends.  These three walked to school every day during second grade.  I'm pretty sure Katelyn made sure that the boys didn't do anything too crazy (Will more than Joe) and I know she endured a lot of Star Wars talks.  I'm so grateful for these two and the friends they are to Will.

These two boys ... they're great.

Will with Grandma and Grandpa Murri.  They were so generous and gave him this awesome suit for his baptism.  He really loves it.

Will's other great friend Sam came his baptism.  Sam's parents went to Nauvoo with Dale and I (yes, both his parents) and they met there like we did and got married a couple months after coming home (about 3 months before we did).  We are so grateful to be such great friends with their family and that they live in our stake!  We love having them close.  Will and Sam have been friends since they were babies and it's been so much fun to watch them grow up together.

For Will's baptism gift he really wanted a poster of the My Gospel Standards.  He was so excited to have this to hand in his room.

Will also got a scripture case, and he'll be getting new scriptures in August since a new version of them are coming out in August, we decided to wait.  So until then he gets to use his dad's missionary scriptures.  :)

How sweet that he was so excited to have the gospel standards. And neat that he's using his dad's mission scriptures.
