Will's Party

For Will's birthday pretty much all he wanted was a Star Wars party. He LOVES Star Wars, so I really wanted to make it fun. After reading a lot of other people's ideas and sucesses, I think we had a good time.

Here are my two Jedi's with their Lightsabers.

Jedi Training in action

Dale was the trainer

Kate and some other friends

Our little snack. So the choc. covered pretzel was supposed to be a lightsaber. The hot dog was really supposed to be a Tie Fighter, but really it looks like a Droid. But either way right? They're both Star Wars.

Dale drew a picture of the Death Star and the and Star Destroyer (both bad ships and associated with Darth Vader). The kids had to take water balloons and throw them at the chalk drawings to destroy them. They had to throw them until the chalk had washed away. It was fun.

The kids all lined up and ready to go

The throwing has begun.

Then inside for cake.

Here is a close up of the cake.

And gifts. Thank you So much everyone for the gifts! Will loved them!

Next we headed back outside to do the pinata! It was crazy fun. We actually made the pinata, which was really fun. It was the Death Star. All the kids just pounded away with their (softer type) lightsabers that each of them got (pictures in the Jedi Training pictures), and then we had a pinata stick that was wrapped like a lightsaber. Unfortunetly all of them didn't get a turn. One of the bigger kids went like third, and beat it up pretty hard. A couple (littler kids) later it broke. I feel bed! They all got candy though, lol.

Will hitting it

Kyla taking her turn

Autumn taking her turn (she beat it pretty good).

Caleb taking his turn.

Emma was the one that broke it. It was kind of funny because she's just so little, lol.

All the kids gather around for candy!

You are so much fun, what a cool mom! I love the snacks. I think we should have some sort of fun themed grown-up party and you can do it because you have all the cool ideas. :)

what a great party!! I love how it all tied into the theme--the water balloons are esp. a good idea throwing at a drawing vs. people!
